Liz and John are married at Rockwood!

Liz and John had an elegant wedding on the grounds of Rockwood Mansion, one of my favorite wedding locations! Liz looked beautiful in her lace veil and the event was decorated with natural soft details, as well as unique items from Etsy.com (a website offering artists’ work for sale), including the ring holding dish! The cake’s icing, done by Sweets to You by Ginger, was made to look like tree bark and they had a wonderful candy bar during cocktail hour with rustic accents, including old wooden crates used as platforms. Chris Horne played acoustic music during the ceremony and once the party started for the reception, it was MC’d by DJ Baby Bubba! Congrats Liz and John!

Two Lovely Couples Featured in DE Bride Magazine!

I’m so happy to announce that not one, but TWO couples’ weddings were featured in Delaware Bride’s Spring Summer issue.

Liz and John are featured in the Just Married Section (#2 in the bottom left corner in the above image) and Carly and Artie have the featured “Ever After” wedding story.

Congrats to both couples, you are such amazing people and I was so honored to be a part of your beautiful day!

Kourtney and Jesse’s Country Wedding at Rockford Plantation!

Kourtney and Jesse decided to have a chic country wedding at Rockford Plantation in Lancaster, PA! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the peonies were blooming…a photographer’s dream! They had the ceremony in front of the main building, making it a unique setting with it’s gorgeous red brick and ivory columns!

Rockford also had a stunning barn with vibrant red doors, perfect for Kourtney’s color palette! Her elegant dress is a Jessica McClintock, one of my absolute favorites this season!

Each bridesmaid had matching accessories that completed their fashionable look! I was personally drooling over these chic statement rings!

Kourtney was effortlessly dazzling with her birdcage veil made by Etsy Designer Claudia, her lace parasol, and her lovely bouquet with it’s peacock feather flair!

Jesse matched perfectly with some unique accessories of his own, including the patterned bow tie made by Etsy Designer E W McCall and (my favorite) red Converses!

All the flowers were arranged by Alison Sullivan (Contact me for her info). Such a wonderful job!

I fell in love with the fresh peonies and the country jars for table settings!

Red was the color of the day!

Instead of a traditional guestbook, Kourtney and Jesse had guests thumb print and write their names and messages on this adorable picture!

Kourtney and the girls make their grand entrance, no peeking for Jesse allowed!

Such an adorable ring bearer!

I had to grab this shot of Kourtney and her flowergirl, both matching in vibrant red!

She was so silly and cute!

I’m so fortunate to have so many awesome couples as clients, because they aren’t afraid to have some fun and get a little goofy!

Retro flip up sunglasses, watch out!!

If you squint really hard, you can see me taking the photo in the sunglasses’ reflection! Congrats Jesse and Kourtney!

Carly and Artie’s BBQ Wedding At Lewes Historical Society!

Carly and Artie wed on May 22nd this year in beautiful historic Lewes! They found a little known, but unique venue at the Lewes Historical Society to have their ceremony and reception! It was a gorgeous day and we started it all off by meeting Carly at the Ocean Retreat Day Spa, where the girls were getting pampered and made up for the big event!

They then headed over to Hotel Rodney to get dressed! Me and Albert (my awesome assistant) went on the old elevator up to the room, it was so cool!

On the way over to the ceremony, we saw this vintage Dodge truck, so we had to take a shot!

Artie began the ceremony by ringing the school bell located within the historical society! What a great idea!

Entertain Me Event Planning made sure everything ran smoothly, which was a huge plus when you have bridesmaids on one side of the location and groomsmen on the other! They were there from start to finish and even helped us out when we were shooting formals with Carly and Artie during cocktail hour!

I loved Carly and Artie’s readings! They were poems from Shel Silverstein, including the “Dirtiest Man in the World”, which made everyone laugh!

Starting the formals with the bridal party, this one is my favorite of the day!

Then I headed off with Carly and Artie around Lewes to take portraits while Albert covered cocktail hour. We had a TON of double-takes and “congrats” from strangers the whole time!

The reception details were so warm and inviting, one of the most laidback and unique weddings I’ve covered so far!

Love these two, always having fun, even during their first dance!

Music was provided by Tom Barrett DJs, with an incredible emcee that kept the party going long into the night!

As always, a picture to sum everything up, Carly and Artie showing their “serious side” on the porch of the Doctor’s office! Congrats, you two!

Julianne and Mark’s Fairytale Wedding in Rockwood Park!

On a perfect spring day, Julianne and Mark were wed in the beautiful walled garden of Rockwood Mansion (Wilmington, DE) and their reception was close by in the newly renovated Carriage House of the Rockwood estate! It was so great being a part of their day, both Mark and Julianne were ready for anything and their bridal party was such a blast to work with!

Each detail was classic and timeless, which made the wedding was such an elegant affair!

Julianne’s hair was done by Joseph Anthony Salon & Spa (Glen Mills, PA) and her makeup was done by Gina Veith of Skin Restoration Studio (Bear, DE).

Flowers were gorgeously arranged by Breger Flowers in Wilmington, DE!

The walled garden was such a lovely backdrop to the ceremony!

Julianne and Mark were able to start formals fairly early due to their First Meeting, which gave us plenty of time to have fun with the bridal party and the newlyweds!

What a riot! I love when everyone is up for being goofy!

Can you tell I’m in love with this tree? Interesting backgrounds can change the whole dynamic of a wedding portrait!

Their stunning table settings! Mark is also quite a talented graphic designer, so all wedding stationary, invites, programs, table numbers, etc were designed with his layouts!

The food was impeccable as well, with The Greenery catering and finished off with flavorful desserts by Sweets To You…By Ginger!

Mark and Julianne also had such a gorgeous first dance, choreographed by Gina Veith! Wish I had gotten video as well!
