I love getting to know my clients, not only to make them feel more at ease, but to also get that connection and understanding of what makes them them. And each client has something special to give back to the world, whether it be their talent for music, their creative genius, or their little child.
This past year I had an fun session with a young woman, Lilliana, who showed me such ambition and drive to achieve the goals she had set out for herself and achieve them despite anything that got in her way (like having her car broken into recently before our shoot and not even skipping a beat!).
The day was a bit of a mess, with me arriving in Philly one bag short of equipment. She was helpful in every way and gladly brought me to Ritz Camera to buy luckily only a battery and charger for the shoot(I now have a checklist for EVERYTHING to remember for a shoot
). It was so refreshing to meet a person who cared about her career, but also genuinely cared about the people around her. In the end, we had an awesome sample apartment to shoot in, and the pictures turned out fabulous!
She has a wonderful site, http://www.lillianavazquez.com, where she has her online resume (and some of my pictures!) for being a spokesperson, host, and reporter. So check it out and spread the word, because this rising talent is going somewhere!

As a photographer I can really appreciate good work. Lilliana is absolutely beautiful and you show off those incredible eyes of hers in a great way.
I like the soft lighting and use it myself whenever possible.
Great job!
Thanks Joseph, I used primarily a medium softbox with one light occasionally to the side for highlights, everything else was Lilliana!
