Hey everyone!
I’m officially starting the saga that is Kate’s Lens Blog! I wanted to make a great first post, so I thought I should write of all the various things that inspired me through the years and made me who I am as a photographer. But what I ended up discovering was the fact that I only have one sole reason for being behind the camera.
To remember life in each moment
I came to this conclusion when I was shuffling through my old photos and saw this photo that moved me.
I remember it clearly and I feel the excitement I had of meeting such an extraordinary human being just from glancing at the photo.
I don’t know where he came from, and I don’t know how he came to be at the Philadelphia Terminal Market that day, but I do remember his brilliant piano playing and his friendly spark. He brightened up a market filled with people with the simple gift of music and lollipops and I was lucky enough to capture a moment like this, completely spontaneous, and remember it forever.
And that is why I love to do what I do!

I love this photo! I’m an aspiring photographer and I totally understand how you feel when you are able to look back at a photo you have taken in the past and have the exact same feelings as you did while you were taking the photo. I’m actually one of your blog stalkers and I think you do amazing work!
Great to hear from a fellow photographer! And also great to hear I have a photographer as a blog stalker!
I’m glad you understand, some moments are just meant to be captured!
